It would be helpful for members to be aware when an authorization request has been placed by a provider. They could receive a message when UHC has received it and is processing it. Then, when a decision is made, they could receive another message saying it's complete and then they can view the decision/letter in the "documents" section of myuhc.
This would keep members engaged in the process and give them comfort that things are moving along.

Members must call the provider or UHC to find status of authorization requests. It's disengaging and frustrating for them to have to make multiple calls.
